APR24 | Casual Day view detailshide details The last Friday of the month and a casual day! Students are allowed to attend school in clothing of their choice rather than the school dress code. Their appearance must still be neat and tidy - no torn or frayed clothing, mottos, slogans, or unsuitable lettering on t-shirts. Shirts must fully cover midriffs, and short skirts are not permitted. Usually, the last Friday of each month is a casual day for students. Other casual days are designated for special occasions. Over the past 12 years, Mr. Sarkany has been speaking to students about his personal experiences during the Holocaust, living under the brutality of the Soviet regime in Hungary, and finding a home in the United States. This program is being offered to Humanities students in Grades 7 and 8, along with their parents. Prior to our most recent assessment, Noah taught History 6A how to use Quizlet. Quizlet is a study tool in Google Apps that allows students to enter the information they have learned and then play games or take quizzes on that information. Students can share quizlets with each other and challenge each other in the games. It is a fun way to study before a test! Thanks, Noah!!
