Happy Storytelling in Grade 7 Mandarin Class
Posted by Yajuan Zhang
It is always amazing to see how students have mastered their practice when they connect what they learned in class to their real life. During the first couple of weeks, after we reviewed some of the key expressions and sentences students learned last year, l asked them to choose an item in the classroom and create a dialog to describe that item.
To my surprise, this engaged students’ interest immediately. After a short practice as groups, we were very lucky to have these two videos to share students work. I am quite impressed that students seamlessly used the skills of storytelling in practice. It shows how naturally the students speak and experience the language with confidence and happiness. Enjoy the “show”everybody!
